Updated: Trimble Survey Controller 12.42  A new update of Trimble Survey Controller is available. This version, 12.42, contains a number of minor improvements. For details, please see the Release Notes.
Trimble Survey Controller 12.42 can be downloaded immediately from the Support area of the Trimble Web site. It is also now shipping in new controllers.

Network RTK Guidelines  Earlier this year, TSA, Trimble, Leica and the Ordnance Survey came together to fund research into GPS accuracies. Newcastle University was commissioned to undertake the research and to produce best practice guidelines.
The aim of the research is to provide quantifiable evidence to the accuracies that are achievable using GPS and to explain to both users and clients how best to achieve this. You can download the full document from the new TSA website:

Through our partnership with the Trimble Knowledge Network we are now offering five new Web-based Getting Started Tutorials. You can take these courses from the comfort of your desktop. For more information, to view a course description or to purchase the course, click on the class name.
Introduction to GNSS – Free - 20 minutes duration
Introduction to GPS – Free - 30 minutes duration
Introduction to RTK Surveying - 1 credit - 45 minutes duration
Introduction to Site Calibration - 2 credits - 1.25 hours duration
Trimble Survey Controller Software v12.40 Overview for RTK Applications - 1 credit - 30 minutes duration
All Trimble training is purchased with Trimble Learning Credits. Once purchased, Trimble Learning Credits are redeemable for web-based Getting Started Tutorials and for Instructor-Led Classroom Training.
As we add more types of training in the future, Learning Credits may be used to purchase that training as well. Learning Credits can be purchased online through the Trimble Knowledge Network Learning Centre, the number of credits required per course is listed in the Course Catalogues. One credit is equal to $40 (U.S.).

Trimble Dimensions Web Site Now Live
Redesigned for the 2009 event, the new Trimble Dimensions Web site provides essential information about the user conference, venue, and session content while following the theme of Positioning for Success. Today and Tomorrow.

Expanded Outdoor Hands-On Content
Trimble Dimensions 2009 will offer something new for attendees: the unique opportunity to experience hands-on content at an off-site facility. Off-site sessions will be held at the National Association of Heavy Equipment Training Schools. Offsite sessions will feature a half-day of content on surveying applications such as staking a Trimble road, deformation monitoring, plus spatial imaging.
In addition to the exciting user conference content at the Mirage, these off-site sessions will give customers first-hand knowledge of the benefits of adding technology to transform their work and make them more profitable. Space is limited at the Dimensions off-site sessions. Attendees who register before November 1, 2008 will receive advanced notice when the Session Scheduler is available and may sign up for the outdoor sessions on a first-come, first-served basis.
