New: Trimble® GeoExplorer® 2008 Series Is Here!

Trimble have launched the new GeoExplorer 2008 series, with the introduction of three new models to meet your GIS Data Capture the requirements. Built using the latest Windows Mobile 6 operating system, the GeoExplorer 2008 series is an all in one rugged handheld GPS and PDA combined, offering a super fast 500MHz processor, daylight readable VGA screen with an integrated all day battery, making it the ideal handheld GPS to use with your preferred Data Capture software including ESRI ArcPad, FastMap Mobile and Trimble TerraSync.

The new top of the range, Trimble GeoXH™ 2008 handheld GPS sets new standards of accuracy for GIS Data Capture and Mapping applications with real-time decimetre (10 cm) accuracy (in position and height). Built using the latest Trimble H-Star technology to achieve +/- 10cm accuracy in Real-time or when Post Processed, makes the GeoXH the ideal tool for Utility As-Laid Data Capture and other high accuracy survey requirements.

KOREC Mapping GPS Showcase 08 '" New Dates Announced

KOREC are proud to announce the launch of the latest Trimble GPS Mapping solutions at our SHOWCASE ’08 seminars, in partnership with Ordnance Survey.

The seminars have particular relevance to the utilities sector and anyone needing cost-effective decimetre data capture. We will be featuring the latest GeoXH™ handheld, GPS Pathfinder™ ProXRT receiver and the Trimble VRS Now™ H-Star™ service, which is able to achieve 10cm real-time accuracy.

The first seminar takes place at Stoke-on-Trent on Tuesday 7th October, with the second seminar at Reading on Tuesday 14th October and a final seminar in Edinburgh on 21st October.

New: Trimble® VRS Now H-Star service

The new Trimble VRS Now H-Star service provides instant access to H-Star corrections throughout Great Britain.

A subscription to the Trimble VRS Now H-Star service gives users working in utilities, local government, natural resources, and land management the ability to obtain real-time, decimetre level accurate positions consistently and directly at the job site. With instant access to H-Star corrections on demand, field workers can be more efficient and high-accuracy mapping projects can be up and running in minutes to increase productivity.

In addition, teaming the GPS Pathfinder ProXRT receiver with the Trimble Nomad™ series of handhelds (800XC and 800XE models) removes the need for a separate phone. The Trimble Nomad handheld's integrated cellular modem (GPRS) allows users to connect directly from the handheld to the Trimble VRS Now H-Star service for optimal performance with a minimal hardware investment.

KOREC duo become Trimble Certified Trainers

Following an intensive three day training course at Trimble's Raunheim Offices in Germany, KOREC's Philippe Miot (based in Ireland) and Darius Mirdamadi (based in the UK), are now qualified to provide Technical Certified training on the full range of Trimble Mapping GPS products. KOREC now employ three of Trimble's 10 strong Certified Training Team, all operating within the EMEA region.

KOREC offers the only UK and Ireland based Trimble Certified Trainers in Mapping and specialises in a wide range of GPS training from a basic introduction to advanced theory, delivered with the emphasis on quality and value for money.

New: KOREC launches FastMap Live and FastMap On-Demand

KOREC has launched two new additions to the FastMap Mobile family of GIS data capture and maintenance software. Ideal for use in conjunction with FastMap Mobile on Trimbles’s rugged Nomad field computer with integrated GPRS communications, FastMap Live and FastMap On-Demand are web based applications that take two way field/office communication to a new level.

FastMap Live provides users with two major benefits. Firstly, the ability to track the position of workers in the field from an office based computer, ideal for monitoring workers in remote or dangerous conditions and managing large work forces. Secondly, field workers can position an incident, such as a burst water main, either manually on a map or by GPS, record its features in a form, attach any relevant photos and send the whole bundle to the office with the touch of a single button.

FastMap On-Demand allows field workers to request background mapping for wherever in the country they happen to be working, either as aerial photography or OS MasterMap* data. Users simply obtain their GPS position and hit the ‘On-Demand’ button to receive 100m x 100m of map data in less than 30 seconds.

Updated: Trimble® Nomad with Integrated GPRS

The Trimble Nomad series of handheld computers running Windows Mobile 6 now offers even more versatility with the introduction of integrated GPRS.

The handhelds feature a powerful 806 MHz processor, 128 MB of RAM, up to 2 GB of Flash storage, Bluetooth® technology wireless connectivity, and a 3.5 inch super bright VGA display. With a variety of configurations to suit the needs of the user, including cellular modem (GPRS), wireless LAN, Bluetooth connectivity, integrated GPS, digital camera, and Laser Bar Code Scanner, the combination of the Trimble Nomad field computer and FastMap Mobile software provides a range of all-in-one solutions for field data collection and inspection activities.
